DJ Taye is a Chicago-based DJ, producer, and core member of the Teklife collective — the crew founded by the late DJ Rashad that brought footwork and juke music to a global audience. Raised in the heart of Chicago's South Side dance culture, Taye began DJing as a teenager and quickly developed a signature sound that layers the kinetic energy of footwork with deeper, more melodic production sensibilities.

His releases span Bandcamp, SoundCloud, and major streaming platforms, earning recognition from tastemaker publications and festival programmers worldwide. Whether performing at club nights, arts institutions, or international festivals, DJ Taye brings a relentless, precision-driven set that honors Chicago's footwork legacy while constantly pushing its edges forward.
